SupaIGA in Kingaroy have thrown their weight behind a Relay For Life team who are usually kept busy helping others.

The supermarket handed over a cheque for $500 on Friday to the “CROSB Crew”, who have also been raising funds by selling chocolates.

The workers at CROSB support people with disabilities.

Team leader Kirsty Cauley said CROSB stood for “Community Respite Options South Burnett”, and it was part of South Burnett CTC.

“In the future CROSB plans to run barbecues with the assistance of SupaIGA to raise funds for our Group Nights,” Kirsty said.

“The Group Nights are open to all people with a disability.

“They happen on the third Tuesday of the month and provide an opportunity for people with a disability to catch up with old friends and make new friends.

“CROSB are always looking for volunteers to help with the Group Nights.

“If you would like to volunteer at a group night please contact CTC on (07) 4162-9000, or if you would like to attend please contact the CROSB office on (07) 4162-9081.”
