Olympic volleyballers Taliqua Clancy and Louise Bawden are off to a great start in their bid to win a medal at the Rio Games.

The pair notched up a two-set to nil win over Costa Ricans Karen Cope Charles and Nathalia Alfaro in a preliminary Pool F match in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Their next match will be played at noon (AEST) on Tuesday, against Venezuelans Olaya Perez Pazo and Norisbeth Isais Agudo Gonzalez.

UPDATE August 9:  

Clancy and Bawden have won 2-0 against Venezuelans Olaya Perez Pazo and Norisbeth Isais Agudo Gonzalez in their Pool F Beach Volleyball game at the Rio Olympics.

Their next game is on Wednesday at 11:00pm (AEST) against Dutch pair Madelein Meppelink and Marleen van Iersel.
