Members of the Go Getta Girls on a cross-country run; the group’s annual “Introduction To Running” course, which kicks off next month, can teach any woman how to run

July 20, 2016

Ever thought about taking up running for fitness and fun? Would you like to find out how you can do it regardless of your current size or fitness level?

The Go Getta Girls (GGG) will be kicking off their annual four week beginner’s running program on Monday, August 22.

The program will be held over four consecutive Mondays (August 22 and 29, September 5 and 12) between 5:45am and 6:30am at the Burnett Street end of Kingaroy’s Memorial Park.

The program is based on Chi running and is open to all South Burnett women aged 18 and over who are interested in learning running technique on a “come and try” basis.

The full cost of the four-week program is $40, payable on the first morning.

The program carries no obligation to join the GGG club – you can simply use it to learn some great basic tips for successful distance running.

But if you do wish to join the club, completion is a prerequisite for membership.

The program covers all the important points of running technique, such as how to start regardless of your current fitness level or size; how to avoid injury with sensible training advice and postural awareness; how to develop a runner’s mindset; and much more.

If this interests you, be sure to come just a tad earlier on the first morning (5:30am) so you have time to complete your registration before the first lesson begins.

It is also helpful to bring the correct money, a water bottle, comfy running shoes and a towel.

Every session in the program is important, so it’s also recommended you make yourself available for all four lessons.

No previous running experience is necessary.
