South Burnett Saints had an easy win over Chinchilla on Saturday, improving their for and against and keeping them four points clear of fifth placegetters Goondiwindi on the Darling Downs AFL ladder.

The Saints, playing at Chinchilla, led at every break and were 11 goals ahead of the Suns at half-time.

The final score was 27.15 (177) to 5.4 (34).

Saints’ goals were kicked by Ty Snow (8), Adam Bowater (4), Adam Branch (3), Paul Pressnell (2), Dylan Bowater (2), Keiran Snow (2), Brad Edwards, Keegan Wright, Jordan Pressnell, Braden Swan, Tim Lavender and Nicholas Krauksts.

Second and third on the ladder, Cougars and Coolaroo, both enjoyed a bye this round while competition leaders South Toowoomba had a 78-point win over Highfields.

Saints have the bye next weekend; their next game will be against Lockyer Valley in Kingaroy on July 30.
