July 7, 2016

The favourite day of the year for South Burnett bookworms is coming up in just a few months time!

The Taabinga Rotary Club’s annual Bookarama will be held in September, and the club is now looking for donations of books to help make the fundraiser a great success.

All donations of books can be left at:

  • JA Carroll & Son Solicitors at 12 King Street, Kingaroy
  • Elders Insurance at 191 Kingaroy Street, Kingaroy; or …
  • Ken Mills Toyota in Youngman Street, Kingaroy

Bookarama is the Taabinga Rotary Club’s biggest fundraiser of the year, and funds raised will be distributed to various Rotary projects.

There will be thousands of books to browse through, everything from children’s books to romance novels, and crime fiction to cookery.

This is the eighth year that Bookarama has been held at Kingaroy Town Hall.

It will be open from 9:00am to 4:00pm on Saturday (September 17) and 9:00am to noon on Sunday (September 18).

In addition to books, there’ll also be raffles and a sausage sizzle.
