Stig Wemyss – not be confused with the popular character Stig from the British motoring show Top Gear – paid a flying visit to Kingaroy on Tuesday.
Stig, a trained actor and comic, also happens to be one of Australia’s most popular narrators of audio books for children and young adults.
He was a guest of the South Burnett’s libraries, who organise regular talks from local and visiting authors, as well as others involved in the book publishing industry.
Stig travelled to the region to hold two shows at Kingaroy Town Hall which were open to school children from throughout the region.
The aim of the shows was to reinforce to them how much fun reading and listening to books can be.
Stig was brought to the South Burnett by Bolinda Digital, who supply a large range of audio books and e-books to the region’s libraries.
