Mark Tobin has been appointed the new chief executive officer of rural training body, Queensland Agricultural Training Colleges.
“Mark Tobin has a strong background in both agriculture and education and I have accepted the unanimous recommendation of the governing board,” Agriculture Minister Leanne Donaldson said.
“Mr Tobin is currently director of Emerald Agricultural College and has previous experience as the owner and manager of a cattle enterprise, as a leader in education at CQ University and in corporate governance in medical and health-related organisations in Central Queensland.
“He has a proven record and I am pleased to welcome him to his new role guiding young people towards careers in the agriculture and agribusiness sectors.”
He was formerly a director of Central Queensland Medicare Local and chairman of the Capricorn Helicopter Rescue Service.
