School chaplains Jo Mould and Liz Lowther topped off a busy Chappy Week on Saturday with a trip to Maccas … not to take a well-earned break, but to flip some burgers.
Chappy Week is an annual event run by Scripture Union Australia to raise awareness about the work of school chaplains, and to raise funds to support them.
Jo is school chaplain at Taabinga State School, while Liz is chappy at Kingaroy State School and Kingaroy State High School.
The pair planned several events to mark Chappy Week, including a special breakfast at Kingaroy State High and a film night at Taabinga State School.
But the highlight was most likely the morning spent at the Kingaroy McDonald’s Family Restaurant where the pair took turns serving customers and generally helping out about the place.
They were accompanied by a team of eager helpers from Taabinga State School.
