A man has been airlifted to hospital with suspected chest and pelvic injuries after a single vehicle crash on the D’Aguilar Highway near Moore on Thursday evening.

Emergency services were called to the scene about 6:40pm about two kilometres west of Moore, heading towards Blackbutt.

The man, believed to be aged in his 40s, was the sole occupant of the vehicle which left the road and rolled.

The crash sparked a grass fire around the vehicle however the driver somehow managed to escape without burns.

A QFES unit was despatched from Toogoolawah to assist but found the vehicle fully engulfed in fire when they arrived.

Rural firefighters assisted with putting out the grass fire.

The driver was treated by paramedics at the scene before being taken by road ambulance to Kilcoy Hospital.

He was then airlifted by helicopter to Nambour General Hospital in a stable condition.
