A six-year-old girl suffered severe cuts to her face when she was kicked by horse near Goodger on Friday morning.

Ambulance paramedics were called to the scene in Foleys Road about 6:30am.

The girl is believed to have been tending to the horse when the incident occurred.

Despite being kicked in the head, the girl managed to run to the house to alert her family.

The RACQ CareFlight’s Toowomba-based helicopter landed at the property and flew the girl to Lady Cilento Children’s Hospital in Brisbane in a stable condition.
