Nine drivers tested positive to illegal drugs in a roadside blitz conducted by police in the local region this week.
The joint action by the Kingaroy and Dalby Road Policing Units and the Roadside Drug Testing Unit from Brisbane stopped drivers from Kilcoy to Gayndah.
Senior Constable Jade Miller, from the Kingaroy Road Policing Unit, said 337 random breath tests and 121 roadside drug tests were conducted.
Nine drivers tested positive to either cannabis or methamphetamine or both – one each in Kilcoy, Yarraman and Kingaroy and six in Gayndah.
Only one drink driver was detected.
Snr Constable Miller said 26 traffic infringement notices were issued and two unlicensed drivers will face charges.
One of the unlicensed drivers also had his vehicle confiscated for 90 days because of repeated infringements.
A Yarraman man was also charged with possessing cannabis and drug utensils.
