Residents in Frangipani Drive, Kingaroy, received a nasty surprise when they returned home after an Easter break … thieves had entered their home and stolen a number of items.
Acting Senior Sergeant Brad Johannesen, from Kingaroy police, said the break-in occurred between March 25 and April 3.
Items stolen included laptop computers, electrical appliances and bedding.
Police believe the thieves probably used the bedding to wrap up the stolen items.
The thieves also stole cash from children’s money boxes.

Snr Sgt Johannesen also urged residents to keep an eye on neighbours’ properties if they are away.

Police are also asking assistance after a towbar was stolen from a vehicle parked in a driveway in Buckingham Street, Kingaroy.
The theft was reported to police via Policelink.
The towbar was fitted to a Holden Jackaroo and the thief would have had to unfasten the bar from underneath the vehicle.
The theft occurred between noon on August 31 and noon on April 1.

A man was taken to Kingaroy Hospital for observation and another driver charged after a nose-to-tail collision on the Bunya Highway near Crawford on Friday evening.
The incident occurred just after 5:00pm.
One vehicle ran up the back of another after the second driver allegedly became distracted.
He has been charged with driving without due care and attention and will appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court.

A 46-year-old man has been charged with a mid-range drink-driving offence after police pulled him over in Haly Street, Kingaroy, on Saturday just before 11:00pm.
Police will allege he had a BAC of 0.129.

A driver has been issued with ticket after a minor collision at the traffic lights on the corner of Haly and Youngman streets, Kingaroy, on Sunday morning.
The crash occurred just before 9:00am.
Police allege one driver went through an amber light when he could have stopped.
No one was injured.

A 24-year-old man, pulled over by police in Cowie Drive, Kingaroy, will appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court to face a charge of driving while court disqualified.
