The Wondai Indoor Bowls Club held its annual general meeting this week, where long standing member Vince Lakin was re-elected president for what is believed to be his 38th term.
Other office bearers are vice-president Daphne Ladlow, secretary Christine Rasmussen, treasurer Maryanne Pearce and games director Faye Holding.
The final round of the annual Wondai Shield was also contested, with teams participating from the host club and Kingaroy.
Shield winners were Vince Lakin, Keith Kratzmann, Daphne Ladlow and Beth Weier (Wondai), while the runners-up were the Kingaroy combination of Leila Rea, Myrtle Rae, Hazel Siddans and Nola Wingfield.

The Wondai Club and its members have been a strong force in district competitions over the years.
Apart from being involved with sister clubs at Kingaroy and Kilkivan, members have travelled thoughout the region on many occasions, winning tournaments at Gympie, Dalby, Toowoomba and other south-east Queensland towns.
Club secretary Christine Rasmussen said at the AGM it was pleasing to see an increase in membership during 2015.
The South Burnett Association comprises clubs at Wondai, Kingaroy and Kilkivan. In earlier years indoor bowls was also prominent at Murgon and Goomeri.
Club stalwart Keith Baynton said he could remember when Wondai’s membership was 32.
However because of age and transfers, this total has dropped somewhat and is consistent with many other clubs where older players have not been replaced with a younger generation.
This, of course, is evident in many other sporting organisations.
