Wondai driver Aaron Seiler takes off after a shunt in a heat of the Modified Sedans

March 7, 2016

It was a big night of thrills and spills at the Kingaroy Speedway on Saturday night with South Burnett drivers getting amongst the action.

Wondai’s Aaron Seiler had a spectacular rollover in a heat of the Modified Sedans but walked away smiling as soon as the vehicle was put back on its wheels.

Popular Kingaroy driver Ben Stead took out the feature race in the National 4 Cylinders.

There were only a dozen entrants in the heats but that didn’t stop the 4 cylinders from putting on an exciting display of driving.

A number of rollovers during the heats slashed the field for the final.

Lismore driver Max Clarke took out the A Main in the feature category, Round 3 of the Ian Boettcher Race Parts Golden Helmet Series for Modified Sedans.

The veteran driver had been dominant in the heats.

Gympie’s Stephen English won the Street Stocks, while South Burnett driver Matty Smith had a win in the Junior category.

The next racing night at the Lucas Oils Kingaroy Speedway will be on April 2 when the South Burnett club will host the Queensland Production Sedan Title.

Well it’s better than mud … a stack-up in an early heat of the Modified Productions sends the dust flying
