Nanango’s Funfest committee – the group which created the Nanango New Year’s Eve Mardi Gras – is looking for new members.

The group will be holding its Annual General Meeting on Wednesday, March 2, at the Nanango Cultural Centre in George Street, Nanango, from 7:00pm.

Nanango Funfest Inc will be looking for people to fill the usual positions on its executive (President, Vice-President, Secretary and Treasurer).

Secretary Chris Marshman said several members of the current executive would be standing down at the AGM.

“We would love to see some new members with fresh ideas and lots of energy to help us build on the success of the last New Year’s Eve event,” she said.

“After all, no committee means no New Year’s Eve Mardi Gras.”

Further information about Nanango Funfest Inc can be obtained by emailing Chris or by phoning Cr Barry Green on 0417-767-444.

Jenny Ball, from Tingoora, and Marlee Robertson, 10, from Landsborough, were two of the thousands of people who turned up at Nanango Showgrounds for the Mardi Gras to ring in the New Year
