The first round of this year’s Men’s Basketball competition was played at the Kingaroy High School sports auditorium last Tuesday night.
There won’t be a women’s competition this year due to inadequate numbers, but there will be five A-grade and six B-grade sides battling it out in the men’s competition.
This season will also have a new game format.
Instead of having a spare team play at the end of the night – the format used last year – one team will have a double header every six weeks.
This means that once every six weeks, one team will play two games in the night.
After five weeks, each team will have played six times and each team would have done bench duty three times, and the cycle will begin all over again.
