Ken Bone will be standing down as Mayor ... but still happy to serve on Council

Twenty-one candidates have nominated for the five positions on the Cherbourg Aboriginal Shire Council which will be decided at the March 19 Local Government elections.

Mayor Ken Bone is not re-standing for the top job but has put up his hand for one of the four councillor positions available.

Current councillors Christine Stewart and Arnold Murray will be contesting the Mayoral job, alongside five other contenders.

Gordon Wragge and Rory Boney have also renominated for councillor roles.
