South Burnett Regional Council plans to set up a mini-Visitor Information Centre at Yallakool Tourist Park at Bjelke-Petersen Dam.
Mayor Wayne Kratzmann told Wednesday’s Council meeting that this would showcase the South Burnett to tourists, encouraging them to experience more of the region.
“Many of us believe that is where, in fact, we should have VICs … where the people go to instead of making them go to another destination, but that is another discussion for another day,” he said.
