Eight South Burnett sporting groups have received funding under the latest round of the State Government’s “Get In The Game” sports funding program.

The clubs applied for support under Round 4 of the “Get Going Clubs” part of the grants.

Successful applicants were:

  • Blackbutt Pony Express Inc – $945 to purchase equipment including safety equipment to support horse riding at Blackbutt
  • Go Getta Girls Inc – $3406 to provide Level 1 and Level 2 coach accreditation to support distance running at Kingaroy
  • Kingaroy Rugby League Football Club Juniors and Seniors Inc – $6720 to provide committee training and mentoring to support rugby league at Kingaroy
  • Murgon Amateur Swimming Club Inc – $7061 to purchase equipment including lane ropes to support swimming at Murgon
  • Murgon Judo Club Inc – $6558 to purchase training equipment to support judo at Murgon
  • South Burnett Endurance Riders Association Inc – $7002 to purchase equipment including generator and safety signage to support equestrian activities in the South Burnett
  • South Burnett Equestrian Group Inc – $3580 to deliver two dressage coach and judge education weekends to support equestrian activities in South Burnett
  • South Burnett Pistol Club Inc – $6750 to purchase equipment including 10 portable targets to support pistol shooting in South Burnett
