Gympie police are hoping the public may have spotted a camper-trailer reported stolen from Widgee earlier this month.

The Oztrail camper trailer was taken from a secure private yard between December 11-12.

It is described as being gunmetal grey/dark black in colour with a large tool box attached to the A-frame of the trailer and tan coloured canvas.

The registration number is DFO-913.

Anyone who has seen this trailer or has any information relating to the theft, should call Crime Stoppers on 1800-333-000 or Policelink on 13-14-44 and quote reference number QP1501838410.

Drug driving appears to be a problem in the Gympie area, too

Between December 12-16, Gympie traffic police have booked seven drug drivers, three drink drivers and 10 unlicensed drivers.

As well, two drivers were detected driving more than 40km/h over the speed limit.

Police are urging everyone to take responsibility for road safety and to be especially vigilant over the Christmas break.
