A six-year-old boy has been taken to Kingaroy Hospital after an incident at a River Road property at Gordonbrook on Thursday afternoon.
It is believed the boy was bitten by a brown snake just before 2:00pm.
Ambulance paramedics treated him at the scene before taking him to hospital in a stable condition.
