The Yarraman Historical Society’s regular supporters’ dinner took on a festive feel on Friday night, complete with a visit from Santa Claus.
The Society meets at Heritage House every month – except December and January – to enjoy each other’s company and raise funds.
President Helene Johnson had some good news for members on Friday … the Society now has enough money put aside to paint the front of the historic two-storey wooden building.
The former convent was erected in 1945 and was purchased by the Historical Society in 1996.
It now houses an extensive museum as well as meeting areas and the studios of Wild Horse radio.
Funds from the monthly dinners help with the upkeep costs.
