One of the teenage twins who have gone missing from Kingaroy

Kingaroy police looking for 13-year-old identical twin sisters are appealing for public assistance to help locate the pair.

Police believe the girls may be on Bribie Island following a possible sighting on Friday.

The twins are known to have links to the Island.

Investigations by police indicate that the girls – who have been missing from the Kingaroy area since September 8 – have been in contact with extended family during this time.

The girls also have ties in the Cairns area and in the northern Brisbane suburb of Kallangur.

The girl are described as having a tanned complexion, with a slim build, approximately 160cm tall with sandy coloured hair and green eyes.
