Storms which hit the Blackbutt area on Saturday have been keeping South Burnett Regional Council crews busy.

Council crews are undertaking a clean-up of trees and branches cut up by Queensland Fire and Emergency Services crews who assisted residents after the storm.

Council will not be doing a general kerbside clean-up, and residents have been requested not to place green waste or any other waste on the footpath as it will not be collected.

Residents can take green waste to the Blackbutt Transfer Station at no cost, as usual.

The Blackbutt Transfer Station will be open on Tuesday, November 10, from 8:00am to 5:00pm this week only, as well as its normal opening days.

This is to allow residents an extra opportunity to take waste from their properties following the storms.

The Blackbutt Transfer Station will be closed on Wednesday, November 11, but will reopen Thursday from 8:00am as normal.
