Three people have been charged and a Ford Falcon seized by police after an incident outside the Kingaroy Showgrounds on Thursday night.

Police will allege people were fighting on the footpath while the vehicle was doing burnouts in Youngman Street.

A 40-year-old man was taken into custody and charged with public nuisance.

A 20-year-old man was charged with a hooning offence and driving while on a suspended licence.

A 25-year-old man, whom police will allege was throwing rocks at the Ford, has been charged with wilful damage and assault. The man allegedly broke a window on the Falcon with one rock, and struck the driver on the arm with another.

Officer-in-charge of Kingaroy Police, Senior Sergeant Duane Frank, said the Falcon may be subject to total forfeiture upon finalisation of the charges.

Four people have been charged after a disturbance in Haly Street, Kingaroy, near licensed premises in the early hours of Saturday morning.

Police were called about 1:15am.

A 40-year-old man and a 23-year-old man were both charged with public nuisance and obstructing police.

An 18-year-old man was charged with obstructing police, and a 19-year-old man was charged with public nuisance.

All four men know each other.

Police impounded a Commodore stationwagon for seven days – by confiscating its number plates – after a driver was pulled over in Fisher Street, Kingaroy, at 3:30pm on Wednesday.

Police will allege the 22-year-old Kingaroy man was driving while disqualified, and a repeat offender.

On Thursday morning, the number plates from a second Commodore were also confiscated by police  for seven days after the vehicle was stopped in Walter Road.

The 34-year-old male driver has been issued with a notice to appear in court on a charge of unlicensed driving.

Police were called to the carpark of the Kingaroy RSL at 9:00pm on Wednesday after witnesses reported a vehicle may have struck a parked car as it was leaving the area.

A vehicle was intercepted in Markwell Street and the 49-year-old driver was breath-tested.

Police will allege he recorded  0.184 BAC  – almost four times the legal limit.

A 2:00am on Sunday, police breath-tested a 32-year-old woman in Booth Street, Kingaroy. 

She allegedly recorded a BAC of 0.062 and has been charged with drink-driving.

The Queensland road toll at the end of October stood at 203, 13 more deaths than at the same time last year; 45 of the deaths involved motorbikes or mopeds.

No one was hurt when a fire broke out in a house in River Road on Saturday morning.

Firefighters were called to the family home about 11:00am and managed to confine the fire to one room.
