A 70-year-old man has been crushed to death in a farming accident at Kumbia.
Police said the man appeared to have been changing a tyre on a hay trailer, using a jack and blocks to support it while he worked underneath.
At some point the jack and blocks appear to have dislodged, bring the trailer down on top of him, causing extensive injuries.
He died at the scene.
The man was discovered by family members this morning.
Police have attended the scene and reported the accident to Workplace Health and Safety Queensland.
They will a also prepare a report to the Coroner but believe the death is not suspicious.
Kingaroy Senior Sergeant Duane Frank described it as “a tragic farming accident”.
