The 1980 “koala” gold coins are legal tender and have a face value of $200 each although would be worth at least $500 each to collectors.

The break-in occurred sometime on October 6.

Also stolen was a 1950s Rolex Oyster Perpetual men’s wristwatch, a diamond brooch, a rose gold bracelet and an Apple Macbook Pro as well as other items.

A Mazda BT50 utility (registration 189-MUN) was also stolen using a spare key.
