Graffiti vandals have struck again in Kingaroy with five more incidents of spray-painting reported in the Hillview Parade area.

Kingaroy police have released a photograph of a cap which may be related to the vandalism.

“This cap was found in the area and could be connected to the graffiti, or it may be unconnected,” officer-in-charge of Kingaroy Police, Senior Sergeant Duane Frank, said.

The latest bout of graffiti occurred on Friday night and Saturday morning.

Paint was sprayed on fences and walls, and a vehicle suffered minor damage.

Snr Sgt Frank said the incidents occurred in the Hillview Parade, Bottlebrush Parade and Bernard Crescent areas.

He said police had doorknocked the area and had also found spray cans which were being forensically examined.

“It’s clear that it’s teenagers out late at night,” Snr Sgt Frank said.

“We are appealing to people to whom we haven’t already spoken, but who may know something, to contact police.

“We are also asking anyone who recognises the cap, or knows who may have been wearing it, to contact us.”

Anyone with information should contact Kingaroy Police on (07) 4160-4900 or Crime Stoppers on 1800-333-000.
