A pig hindered police efforts to seize two cannabis plants during a recent drug raid in Meringandan West.
Police spotted the feral animal eating “green leafy matter” allegedly being grown in the backyard of the house.
During a subsequent search, police allegedly located a 1.6m high cannabis plant and 140.7g of cannabis but because of the size of the pig, police were unable to seize two plants in the yard that were in the process of being consumed.
A 44-year-old man will appear in Oakey Magistrates Court on October 21 charged with drug possession and production.
