Police and ambulance crews were called to a single vehicle crash on the Nanango-Tarong Road on Thursday afternoon.

The incident occurred about 3:15pm near the intersection of Majors Road at South Nanango.

Paramedics assessed four people at the scene.

No further information is available at present.

A 14-year-old boy was taken to Mundubbera Hospital by ambulance with a broken arm after motorbike crash at Manar Park, near Boondooma, about 2:00pm on Thursday.

He was later transferred by the RACQ CareFlight helicopter to Bundaberg Hospital.

A pilot practising for next week’s Queensland State Gliding Championships at Kingaroy Airport escaped injury when he made an unscheduled landing on Thursday afternoon.

His 15m glider came to rest in a paddock between the Kingaroy Waste Treatment Plant and the Bunya Highway in Kingaroy.

“He simply ran out of air,” a police spokesman said.

The State Gliding Championships, which begin with an official practice day on Saturday, have attracted 31 competitors and will run all week until next Saturday (October 10).
