Police are reviewing CCTV footage from the Kingaroy McDonald’s Restaurant drive-thru following an incident early Friday morning which has left a 19-year-old man in hospital.
About 12:10am, two men were allegedly involved in a verbal altercation which resulted in one man punching the other to the back of the head.
Police say the punch caused the man to fall to the ground, striking his head.
The 19-year-old was taken to Kingaroy Hospital and later flown by the Rescue 500 government helicopter to Brisbane’s PA Hospital.
A police investigation has begun which will include speaking to a number of witnesses as well as reviewing CCTV footage.
UPDATE: Police have spoken to a man in relation to the incident.
