St Mary’s Catholic College in Kingaroy celebrated the end of Term 3 with its annual “St Mary’s Has Got Talent” performance.

This year students from Prep to Year 12 volunteered to put on performances as diverse as whip cracking, modern and classical dance, choir, ensembles, solo instrumental music, joke telling and original rock music compositions.

The students performed for their fellow students, parents and teachers with the assistance of music teacher Jane Iszlaub and performing arts teacher Angelique Arden.

For some of the students, it was their first public performance.

However, an appreciative and receptive crowd of more than 500 encouraged all the students.

College principal Michael Nayler said he was amazed at the quality and quantity of the performances.

“These students have sung, dance and played at the most impressive of standards,” he said.

“To think that over two hours of continuous high quality entertainment can come from our small student body is truly remarkable. I can only thank them and encourage them to continue their talents.”
