Five LNP Members have tossed their hats into the ring for pre-selection for the safe Federal seat of Maranoa.
The contest follows the announcement last month by sitting MP Bruce Scott that he will not re-contest the next election.
The candidates vying for Maranoa were announced on Friday:
- Rabobank Southern Queensland manager Lachlan Douglas
- Charleville grazier Rick Gurnett
- Blackall grazier Alison Krieg
- Warwick bank manager David Littleproud
- Maranoa Regional councillor Cameron O’Neil
Maranoa’s LNP members will vote via post to choose the new LNP candidate.
The new candidate is expected to announced on October 23.
