The craftiest women from the Gympie South Burnett Division of the QCWA were in Murgon on Friday for their annual Handcraft competition.
The display included a wide range of popular and unusual handcrafts covering 55 sections ranging from soft toys and dried flowers to huckaback and Swedish darning.
Entries came from QCWA members from multiple clubs throughout the region.
The display was officially opened by Divisional Handcraft president Elaine Ballin.
Kathy Hansen, from Ballogie, put on a display of spinning using merino and alpaca wool.
For at least the second year in a row, Cedar Pocket member Jeanette Westlake topped the points ladder, achieving 19 competition “firsts”.
Lois Thurecht, from Elgin Vale branch, said the competition winners would now go to State Conference to be judged against Divisional winners from throughout Queensland.
