Gates will open at 8:30am on Saturday at Wondai Showground for the last local show of 2015.
The Wondai Show is a heap of fun and always finishes with a bang with the Bucking Bull Ride which gets underway this year at 7:00pm.
As well as all the usual equestrian, stud beef and dairy cattle competitions for the older folks to enjoy, there’ll be free entertainment for the children from Red Dust Miniature Horses and Karla’s Carnival.
The chainsaw races will get underway at 9:30am, followed by the woodchopping – always a crowd favourite – at 10:00am.
The show will be officially opened by Shadow Agriculture Minister Deb Frecklington at 1:30pm followed by the Grand Parade at 2:30pm.
Popular local singer Arthur Nettelfield will provide live entertainment from 3:00pm to 7:00pm.
There will be plenty of food and drink outlets offering refreshments throughout the showgrounds and the Wondai Lions Club will be running a barbecue until 4:00pm.
The Dining Room will be open if patrons are looking for a sit-down lunch or a quick cuppa.
Show patrons will also welcome the new amenities block which has been finished in time for the show.
And, of course, the licensed bar will be operating.
Admission is $10 for adults, $6 for pensioners and high school students (with ID) and $2 for primary schoolers (pre-schoolers are free).
Wristband passouts are available, too, so visitors can return for free in the evening to watch the Wondai IGA Bucking Bull Bonanza.
Free parking is available in the showgrounds.
