A man injured while mustering stock has been flown to Bundaberg Hospital for treatment.

The RACQ CareFlight Rescue helicopter flew into the Gayndah region shortly after 1:30pm on Wednesday afternoon to airlift the man, aged in his 20s.

It’s believed the man was mustering cattle on horseback when he hit a tree branch.

A portion of the branch became embedded in his leg.

The man was airlifted in a stable condition.

Ambulance paramedics were assessing the condition of four people after a vehicle hit a cow on Dalby-Cooyar Road at Maclagan on Wednesday night.

The incident occurred about 5:00pm.
