Police are investigating a fatal traffic crash that occurred on the Wide Bay Highway near Kilkivan early on Sunday morning.
The crash occurred at Oakview, about 400m west of the Schollick Road intersection.
Initial investigations indicate the vehicle was travelling towards Kilkivan when it left the road and hit a tree.
Police and emergency services were notified about 3:00am.
A 24-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.
A 23-year-old woman was taken to Gympie Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
