If you’re looking for a new pet at a bargain price, put a circle around Saturday, August 29 on your calendar now.
The RSPCA will be holding an Open Day between 10:00am and 3:00pm at their shelter on Warren Truss Drive at Kingaroy Airport to celebrate their recent renovations,
And they’ll be offering a lot of inducements to pet owners to come take a look.
They include discounts of between 25 and 75 per cent off everything from merchandise to animal adoptions, along with $5 mobile hydrobaths.
There’ll also be a Kids Corner complete with a jumping castle and face painting to keep children amused, along with cup cakes they can decorate.
The unveiling of Jodie’s Puppy House will be a highlight of the day.
And if you feel peckish, apart from cup cakes there’ll also be a barbecue, along with fresh coffee and hot chocolate from Jan’s Mobile Coffee.
Guests on the day can also get to take a “behind the scenes” tour of the Shelter, and there’ll be information tents in the grounds which can tell you what’s involved with fostering for the Shelter or volunteering at it.
And for a bit of fun, you can also watch playgroup demonstrations in the RSPCA’s brand new play group yard.
