The Meandu coal mine at Tarong will be featured in a special on a German TV station which regularly attracts up to eight million viewers.

A film crew from the public broadcaster ZDF visited Meandu on Monday to film a segment of a documentary featuring unusual jobs in Australia.

They chose Meandu because of the women employees who drive the huge coal trucks at the mine.

The documentary will be broadcast in Germany and parts of Switzerland and Austria.
