A man in his forties was airlifted to hospital with multiple injuries after being crushed between two 4WDs on Wednesday morning.

An RACQ CareFlight spokesperson said it appeared the man and a second man were injured when an unattended vehicle rolled down an incline, striking the vehicle they were standing behind on a property near Bell.

The Toowoomba-based CareFlight helicopter crew was sent to the property just after 9:30am to airlift one of the patients.

He was treated at the scene by QAS and a CareFlight doctor before being flown to Toowoomba for further treatment.

The man travelled in a stable condition.

The second man was transported by ambulance to Dalby Hospital.
