Kingaroy fast bowler Holly Ferling has been recalled to the Southern Stars team which is taking on England in the Ashes Test match on Tuesday night.

Tuesday’s game is the sole Test match during the mixed-format Women’s Ashes series in England which also includes three One Day Internationals and three Twenty20 matches.

Ferling played in the first and second ODIs but was rested in the third.

Each ODI and Twenty20 win is worth two points, while the Test win is worth four points.

Australia currently leads the Ashes series by two points after winning the ODIs two games to one.

If Australia can seal the victory on Tuesday night, it would mean England would have to win all remaining Twenty20 matches to secure a series draw and hold onto the Ashes.

The Test is being played at St Lawrence Ground in Canterbury, home of Kent County Cricket Club.
