Bendigo Bank branches in Nanango, Yarraman and Blackbutt are taking part in “Chopper Awareness Month” to help raise funds to buy more medical kits for RACQ CareFlight Rescue.
The branches will be holding various events to raise funds so that CareFlight can get more cardiac kits, trauma kits and blood transfusion kits for their helicopters.
“Being equipped with the most reliable and up-to-date medical kits ensures CareFlight’s crews have the best possible tools to provide critical care to seriously ill or injured patients on a daily basis, regardless of the location,” Flight Intensive Care Paramedic Brad Solomon said.
The first Chopper Awareness Month was held eight years ago. Since then, the annual event has raised more than $200,000 for the community helicopter service.
This year’s event is set to be the biggest yet, with 93 Bendigo Bank branches involved across Queensland.
As an added incentive, each branch will be competing to win prizes, including highest fundraising branch and highest individual fundraiser.
