Have you ever thought about taking up running for fitness and fun? Would you like to find out how you can do it regardless of your current size or fitness level?

The Go Getta Girls (GGG) will be kicking off a four week beginner’s running program on Monday, August 24.

The program will be held over four consecutive Mondays (August 24 and 31, September 7 and 14) between 5:45am and 6:30am at the Burnett Street end of Kingaroy’s Memorial Park.

The program is open to all South Burnett women aged 18 and over who are interested in learning running technique on a “come and try” basis, and the full cost of the 4-week program is $40, payable on the first morning.

The program carries no obligation to join the GGG club – you can simply use it to learn some great basic tips for successful distance running.

But if you do wish to join the club, completion is a pre-requisite for membership.

The program covers all the important points of running technique, such as how to start regardless of your current fitness level or size; how to avoid injury with sensible training advice and postural awareness; how to develop a runner’s mindset; and much more.

If this interests you, be sure to come just a tad earlier on the first morning (5:30am) so you have time to complete your registration before the first lesson begins.

It is also helpful to bring the correct money.

Every session in the program is important, so it’s also recommended you make yourself available for all four lessons.

No previous running experience is necessary.

You can obtain more information or register by phoning Donna on 0409-620-923 or Julie on 0419-648-517.
