If you haven’t got your tickets for Saturday night’s “Dinner With The Captains” at Kingaroy Town Hall, you’re way too late … it’s been booked out for weeks.

The three captains who will be the guests at this year’s Relay For Life fundraiser are rugby league legend Darren Lockyer, tennis great Evonne Goolagong Cawley and paralympian world champion Brendan Burkett.

If you are lucky enough to be going – or you know a friend who is – you may like to know what is going to be auctioned on the night as part of the fundraising:

  • 4.6 kw Actron air conditioner, installed – total value $2750, donated by Wondai Electrical
  • Signed Framed 2000 Brisbane Broncos jersey, donated by Rod Dionysius
  • Aboriginal art donated by local artist Venus Rabbitt
  • Framed 2015 State of Origin jersey, signed by victorious team from Game 3, donated by Mark Smith
  • Brendan Burkett signed and framed Australian swimming cap with photo, donated by Brendan Burkett
  • Join Evonne Goolagong Cawley and husband Roger in a 12-seat air-conditioned suite for Day 3 of the Gabba Test vs New Zealand, Saturday, November 7, donated by Cricket Australia
  • ‘Four Captains’ cricket ball, boxed and signed by Sir Ian Botham, Sir Vivian Richards, Shane Warne and Brian Lara
  • 6 of the world’s first purple cricket balls, signed by guest speakers on the night
  • Boxed cricket bat signed by Queensland’s first Sheffield Shield winning team, celebrating 20 year anniversary

Funds raised will go to the 2015 South Burnett Relay For Life, a fundraiser for the Queensland Cancer Council.
