The QCWA’s Kingaroy Twilight Branch held an Open Day on Saturday, July 11 to spread the word about the QCWA and gain potential new members.

Even though only a few attended, the cuppa and cake morning was a success.

Those who did attend where quite intrigued to find that the QCWA was not just ‘tea, scones and craft’.

The branch will continue to hold these open days every few months to raise awareness the QCWA is well and truly still active within their community.

Kingaroy’s Twilight Branch will be holding their Annual Meeting on Tuesday, July 21 at the CWA Rooms in Kingaroy Street, Kingaroy (next to the RSL), starting at 6:00pm.

Dr Deborah Tellam will be the meeting’s guest speaker, and she will be talking about women’s health issues.

Her talk will be followed by a cuppa and cake.

Anyone interested is very welcome to attend.

The group meet at 6:00pm on the third Wednesday of each month at the Kingaroy CWA Rooms.
