Friends and ex-pupils of former Kingaroy State High School principal Alan Whitmee have been invited to attend a committal service which will be held on Saturday (July 11) at Taabinga Cemetery.
Alan, who died on March 4, was principal of KSHS from 1972 until his retirement in May 1988.
He was also a member of the Kingaroy Lions Club and was involved in many local organisations including the Red Cross, the Peanut Festival Committee, SkillShare, and the Red Shield Appeal.
The committal service will begin at 11:30am.
