The Kingaroy Junior Motorcycle Speedway Club will be holding an official opening of their speedway track later this month.
The Kingaroy Bees were formed in March last year.
Through successful grant applications and hard work by a band of volunteers, it has been able to create a track in the Kingaroy Showgrounds Centre Ring.
The track was used for the first time in November, then extended in January.
Since then it has hosted a number of “Come and Try” days and its first official race meeting on April 11.
The official opening of the track will be held to coincide with a “double header” day of competition on Saturday, July 25.
Racing will begin at 10:00am and finish at 4:00pm; the opening ceremony will be held about 12:45pm.
