Congratulations to both of our Stingers’ teams for the wonderful results at the 2015 Football South West Queensland Junior Zone Championships.

Under 12/13s were runners-up in the Under 13 Division and the Under 14/15s were winners in the Under 15 Division.

Congratulations also to Joel Macri who was voted Under 13 Player of the Series by the opposition coaches.

The Under 12/13 coach Sam Macri and Under 14/15 coach Troy Shultz both come from Kingaroy Redbacks and have put a huge amount of time nurturing these youngsters and forming them into very competitive teams.

The championships included teams from the South Burnett, Dalby, Chinchilla, Locker Valley, Toowoomba, Warwick and Stanthorpe.

The Stingers’ success follows their Senior counterparts win earlier this month.

Stingers’ players selected to play for South West Queensland Zone in the Gold Coast Cup in September include Joel Macri, Bailey Stimpson, Jake Sullivan and Ethan Cotter in the U13s, Renee Vanderkolk in the U14 girls; and Chris Medcalf and Tom Pratt in the U15s.

Well done!
