Holly Ferling sends down a rocket for the Bulls Masters in Kingaroy last November … one of her first outings after suffering a back injury

June 1, 2015

Kingaroy fast bowler Holly Ferling has been selected in the squad to take on England in the Ashes next month.

The Southern Stars will be playing one Test, three one-day internationals and three Twenty20 Internationals during their UK tour.

A stress fracture in her lower back forced Holly to miss last year’s games against Pakistan and the West Indies but she is now fully recovered.

“(She) has been training very well at the Bupa National Cricket Centre in Brisbane and will spearhead our pace attack with Ellyse Perry,” chair of selectors Julie Savage told cricket.com.au.

“I’m super excited to be back amongst the Aussie girls once again!,” Holly said.

“It’s been a tough 12 months but I’m so happy to be back for the Ashes! Look out England – the Southern Stars are coming!”
