Fire razed an unoccupied small dwelling on Crownthorpe Road at Tablelands on Thursday morning.
Urban fire crews from Murgon and the Tablelands Rural Fire Brigade were called to the scene at 11:19am.
A QFES spokesperson said the single-story wooden building was well engulfed in flames when firefighters arrived.
The fire was contained by 12:06pm and completely extinguished at 12:47pm, however the structure was totally destroyed.
The owner of the house had visited the residence earlier in the day but the building was unoccupied at the time of the fire.
Investigations into the cause of the blaze are still continuing.
